Earl Thomas Conley - Fire & Smoke (2015)

Great album without much filler. Of course it includes ETC's classic Fire And Smoke but there are many other greats on this album. Perhaps my three favorites are You Can't Go On (Like A Rolling Stone), Crowd Around The Corner, and As Low As You Can Go. You Can't Go On was the B-side of 1984's Don't Make It Easy For Me but was the better song in my opinion. Crowd Around The Corner is kind of a haunting ballad about old men on their way out. As Low As You Can Go is song about self destruction via substance abuse with a Lynyrd Skynyrd That Smell flavor. Overall a great album that captures what 1980s country was all about.
