José Monserrat Feliciano García, better known as José Feliciano, (born in Lares, Puerto Rico, September 10, 1945) is a Puerto Rican musician, singer and composer, considered the first Hispanic American to enter the music market in English.

He is considered a virtuoso performer of the Spanish guitar and with his powerful and unmistakable voice, he has interpreted and published more than 600 songs. His record sales are estimated at 50 million copies.1

If in the Latin market his greatest successes come from the bolero and the ballads, Feliciano is more recognized in the world for his influences and performances in the field of Soul, Jazz, Rock and Latin rhythms. He has many known songs but there are three that marked his musical career: "Light my fire", which opened the doors to popularity with the song and the LP that included Hit in many countries of the world such as USA, Canada , Brazil, Australia and Uk among others; "Che Sarà", sung at the San Remo Festival, which was successful in Europe, Asia and America; and "Merry Christmas", a song of its authorship considered one of the most heard during the Christmas season around the world.

As a composer he has more than 100 songs registered, among which can be mentioned: "There is no shadow that covers me", "Oh, honey", "I spend my life thinking", "You have thrown me into oblivion", "Destiny", " Come Down Jesus "," Angela "," Rain "," Chico & The Man "," Hard Times In The Neighborhood "and the instrumentals:" Pegao "and" Affirmation ". He was one of the first artists to include duets within his albums, among which are: "To say goodbye" with Ann Kelly (1982), "Por ella" with José José, "Un amor así" with Lani Hall, and " I have to tell you something "with Gloria Estefan.
