Henri Roger, born July 20, 1951 in Ismailia, Egypt, is a French pianist. He currently lives in Monaco. He began playing the piano at the age of 15, as an autodidact, in an approach based on the ear, perception, imagination, improvisation and creation.
Lover of many styles of music, blues, rock, pop, jazz, he began his professional career in Paris in the early 70s.

He plays (Tours in France and Paris: Olympia, Bobino, Winter Circus, Place de la Bastille, Festival of Humanity) with the band Taï Phong, the singers Mama Bea Tekielski and Catherine Ribeiro (live album duet « Love to the naked ")

In 1975 he recorded his first solo album "Images" for the label "Pole Records".
From the 90s he is increasingly oriented towards improvised music and contemporary music always in search of new phrases, meetings, to share the sound spontaneously with others.

This is an opportunity for concerts and recordings with Paul Rogers, Jean-Louis Méchali, Barre Phillips, Bruno Tocanne, Emilie Lesbros, Eric-Maria Couturier, François Cotinaud, Emmanuelle Somer, Benjamin Duboc, Didier Lasserre, Noël Akchoté, Augustin Brousseloux, Jean-Marc Foussat, Jean-Baptiste Boussougou, Marcel Bataillard.

This sentence, from Henri Michaux, guides him for many years: "Go far enough in you so that your style can not follow."
