This album is the first harpsichord recital released on the Deutsche Grammophon label in over 30 years and based on several glowing reviews, the wait was worth all the years. Together with the the Concerto Köln, young Iranian-American harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani contrasts two musical styles from 300 years apart: Baroque and minimalism, all performed on period instruments.
