Bendik Baksaas/Maria Brinch - Inya Lake (2019)

Inya Lake is an ambient album written especially to Maria Brinch's solo exhibition by the same name.
Sound is a part of every exhibition. Inya Lake offer a space of joyeous solitude. In the exhibition or somewhere else, the intention of this music is to invite to a moment of contemplation and stillness.
Brinch creates tapestry and textile works where digitally printed carpets are folded and hand painted. The character of the music is inspired by the compassionate nature of textiles. Repetitive synth melodies, field recordings and wordless vocal melodies are the three pillars of this album.
