Alba Careta Quintet - Orígens (2019)

Alba Careta (1995) is a trumpeter and jazz singer from Avinyó (Barcelona). After completing his higher studies between the ESMUC in Barcelona and the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, he is currently studying a jazz trumpet master's degree at the prestigious Amsterdam Conservatorium.

Constituted at the end of 2016, the Alba Careta Quintet is formed by, in addition to the leader, composer, singer and trumpeter, by Ukko Heinonen (Finland) to the tenor saxophone, Yorgos Bereris (Greece) on piano, Ignacio Santoro (Argentina) on the double bass and Guillermo Martín Viana (Spain) on drums. After an extensive tour in the spring of 2017 by Holland, Catalonia and Andalusia the quintet is locked in Underpool Studios to record their first album, Orígens, composed entirely by original compositions recorded live in the studio.
