Melody's first album, initially self produced. Poignant, beautiful and incredible! What makes her even more amazing is that she recorded it while she was in bed, recovering from being hit by a car while she was cycling.

Folky-blues, acoustic jazz, Melody Gardot from Philadelphia gently moves the senses with a diverse collection of beautifully poignant songs bursting with strengthful honesty. The Bedroom Sessions EP was recorded at the bedside following a car accident that left young Gardot motionless and disabled. It was at this time that the EP "Some Lessons" was written. Nicknamed the "Chamber Sessions" because of the nature of the recording process, this first EP presents a soulful artist, with songs full of deep maturity and empathy.
