The group was founded in 1962 on Isle Of Wight. In 1964, they were opening for "Rolling Stones". By the end of 1964, they had left their little island to find happiness in Germany. They played in well-known clubs in Berlin and in March 1965 recorded their only LP. After that they went on tour all year round in Germany, performed in large halls together with the bands "The Mozarts" (NL) and "Die Hexer" (Germany) under the sign "The Beat Monster Show". In 1966, "The Shamrocks" opened concerts "The Hollies" in Cirkus Krone (Circus Krone) in Munich, and then jammed with them in the PN-Club. The group disintegrated in 1967. Gary Cowtan stayed in Berlin, was a member of the band "Wednesday", which released two albums in the late 70's. Then he opened his own studio in Berlin ... Not to be confused with the Swedish psychedelic group "The Shamrocks".
