It is more than 25 years that they have been in the business. Who knows sung in Aalst, Peutie, Zwevezele and Genoolenderen. Probably had floral and request numbers. Almost certainly draining rooms and filling them up. Success also known and just as much misery. Thanks to Raymond for the suitable intro for the twelfth album of the Franco-German duo Stereo Total.
No innovations for Françoise Cactus and Brezel Göring, because on Ah! Quel Cinema! they quietly continue their traditional drive. DIY fair synth punk. They don't take themselves seriously for a second (who ever saw them live, knows what we are talking about) and a band that can build containers with fillers, but also has as many songs of brilliant pop in counterweight ready. Their unique mix of French chanson as Serge Gainsbourg likes to hear them and Neue Deutsche Welle has left its mark on the indie scene for years, and with this new album you can't ignore the fact that they look a bit older, but that they don't have a note have lost originality.
Everything is possible such as the perfect doll that is Cinémascope or My Idol, irresistible melancholy (Hass-Satellite) or straightforward DIY punk like in the hysterical Die Dachkatze. No trouble, the intro-synth from Brezel Says that is simply that of Da, Da, Da, I Don’t Love You from Trio says enough.
Stereo Total sounds like this is their first on this new one, and that is exactly what we wanted. Rebuilt food that still smells fresh!
