The Rainbow Records(3-CD Set) / Collie Ryan
In 1973 Collie Ryan made three LPs at Rainbow Recording in Santa Barbara, California. Using nothing more than her high, birdlike voice,
acoustic guitar and occasional reverb & natural sound effects, she created a starkly cosmic sound that may be a missing link between
the 60s collision of folk and psychedelia and the new age music phenomenon of the 80s. Aside from one track on Numero's now-legendary
Ladies of the Canyon compilation, this is the first appearance of these songs on CD and may be a startling discovery for fans of Joan Baez,
Ruthann Friedman, Vashti Bunyan, Karen Dalton, and Sibylle Baier.
