This digital reissue sees Nicaraguan musician Alfonso Noel Lovo's 1973 album Terremoto Richter 6:25 - Managua made available to a new generation of listeners. Recorded in New Orleans, these songs reflect on the devastating effects of the magnitude 6.25 earthquake which struck the Nicaraguan capital Managua on 23 December 1972, as well as other personal traumas experienced by Lovo. Combining elements of jazz, psychedelic rock, Louisiana blues, Colombian music and Panamanian music, this is an absorbing musical tribute to an historical tragedy.
