Nothing could better describe Frédéric Alarie’s new project than the title, “Enjoy”. The album is composed of a series of pieces composed or chosen for their narrative content. Each tells its story, like the scenario of a touching and captivating movie. Nothing less than a brilliant demonstration of life as a an intuitive musical score.

Sometimes as cool as Miles Davis, Frédéric’s music follows the twists and turns of jazz as if it were a river, from the source to a more contemporary territory. Frédéric Alarie encourages us to enjoy his performance and he knows we will. Yes, we do enjoy thoroughly this contemporary classic, a “must” in the making.

A music traveller, Frédéric doesn’t mind exploring indie rock territory along with his son, Ludovic. The son’s composition transposed by the father is full of the motion one can expect from such a close collaboration. The other pieces on the album are all Frederic’s compositions frequently performed and warmly received in concert. As a matter of fact, it was pressed by his fans appreciation that Frédéric decided to go ahead with this project.
