Jacques Widmer & Markus Stauss - Duos (2019)

In 2019 the CD "Duos" released. Sound engineer is, as in the first joint production "interlude", Benno Hofer from Tonart Studio Basel and Niklaus Troxler again designed the cover.

In 1983, the collaboration of Jacques Widmer and Markus Stauss begins in the Trio Infernal. First highlights are the performance at the Jazzfestival Willisau in the same year and the release of the LP "Zwischenspiel".

In 1984, the GeZeitenOrchester joined the band, a big band (M. Stauss) with musicians from the groups Trio Infernal, City / 6 / tett, Off and Schlagwerk. Performances at the Belluard Festival in Friborg. Another big formation (music and visual installations) is being created with members of the GeZeitenOrchesters u.a. for the "Musikwerstattspektakel" in Basel.

1985 recording "the other day in the studio" with the Markus Stauss Quartet feat. Jacques Widmer, JoPo and Pit Kayser. Concert activity until 1988.

1989 separate the musical ways: Widmer is now u.a. with Schlagwerk, Nachtluft, Drumbone, Voerkel - Micol - Widmer, Swiss Improvisers Orchestra, and Solo. Stauss plays with robbery, Ulterior Lux, Spaltklang, Zauss, Zappa Grappa potion in Varese ?, Stauss conspecifics u.v.m.

2017 Reactivation of the cooperation of Widmer and Stauss as a duo, which plays exclusively free improvised music.
