Shahin Novrasli - From Baku to New York City (2019) [Hi-Res]

If going back to the great themes is a rite of passage for most young musicians, in this case the experience entails a particular dimension. First, Shahin Novrasli shows intense creativity, inspired by the music of his homeland. Also, Ahmad Jamal's production, which provides a telepathic rhythm (thanks to drummer Herlin Riley and double bass player James Cammack), symbolizes a wonderful transition: between two generations of musicians, between two centuries, and also between two continents, the West and the East, all this under the loving gaze of their elders, Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis. The emotion flowing through this album moves in time to the beating heart of jazz.
