Tracks 6-8, 11 & 12 are from Double Time, an album of acoustic duets featuring the five-string banjo.
Bela plays banjo.
Joining Bela are Jerry Douglas, Dobro (track 6); Edgar Meyer, bass (track 7) and Mark Schatz, nylon string banjo (track 1 Track 11 features Darol Anger on cello; track 12 features Mike Marshall on octave mandolin.
The same album also presents duets with Sam Bush, Pat Flynn, David Grisman, John Hartford, Mark O'Connor, Tony Rice and Ricky Skaggs.
Tracks 6 & 8 were recorded at Stargem by Bil VornDick.
Track 7 at Burns Station Sound, Burns, Tennessee by Kurt Storey. Recorded December 1982 and the first half of 1983.
Track 11 was cut at Different Fur Studio, San Francisco by Howard Johnson.
Track 12 was cut at The Marshall Residence, San Francisco by Mike Marshall. Released as Rounder 0181.

Track 10 is from the Dreadful Snakes LP, Snakes Alive (Rounder 0177).
The Dreadful Snakes are an occasional bluegrass band of friends from the Nashville area.
