Sarah Marie Young - Little Candy Heart (2014) [Hi-Res]

Sarah is a well known, versatile Chicago vocalist and winner of the Montreux Jazz Vocal competition (2011), judged by Quincy Jones. One year after Young’s self released album Too Many Februaries (2013).

From this relationship comes Sarah’s sophomore album, Little Candy Heart, a collection of soulful, jazzy originals that tell the age old story of love and heartbreak. The songs on the album Little Candy Heart have all been written by Sarah, often in close cooperation with pianist Stu Mindeman.

The album is produced by Marijn Kooy and recorded in two days with all musicians playing together, in order to capture the groove and energy of interplay.
