Tommy Tornado aka Thomas Streutgers is a unique saxophonist who has been playing reggae and jazz since his youth. Now, together with one of Cologne's most accomplished German ska and reggae bands, The Clerks, he releases 'Back on Track', an album full of self-composed and (mainly) instrumental jazz reggae tunes.

Just 17 years old was adolescent Thomas when he won the 1997 Big Boss Jazz Award. It was the beginning of a great career. In 1998 he joined Rude Rich & The High Notes and helped to make the Amsterdammers one of the top bands in the European ska and reggae scene with his innovative saxophone playing, but also his qualities as a songwriter.

The Clerks are one of the most exciting skabands from German lands. Since its founding in 2000, the seven boys from the cathedral city have made an astonishing development. So far there are 7 albums and 4 singles, which made an impression outside of the ska scene. For example, the not-so-off-beat Rolling Stone awarded 3.5 out of 5 stars for her album "Vagabond", which effortlessly wanders from Trad Ska via Klezmer and Balkanpop to Dub Reggae. How versatile the Clerks are, they showed in the spring of 2013, when they impressed even with a acclaimed set of Studio One classics even the Jamaican producer veteran Clive Chin (Randy's Records / 17th North Parade).
