Croatian-born but naturalized as an Austrian citizen, Dejan Lazic is a pianist and composer who has established an international career. Raised by a musical family, Lazic was trained at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. He has toured Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia as a concerto soloist and as a recitalist, and appeared at many music festivals around the world, often performing chamber music. As a composer, Lazic has composed original works for orchestra, chamber ensembles, and keyboard, and he has written his own cadenzas for piano concertos by Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven. He has also arranged Brahms' Violin Concerto as a vehicle for piano and orchestra, and premiered it with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra under Robert Spano. Lazic has an exclusive recording contract with Channel Classics.
