Kirk Bailey was born & raised in Cambria Heights Queens, NY. He learned to play the saxophone in Elementary school under the tootlage of the late Charles "CI" Williams. Kirk played in the Jazz & Classical bands at Cardozo High School & went on to major in music at Adelphi University. Since high school he has been performing & enthralling audiences throughout the tri-state with his band "Kirk Bailey's Next Level". He has collaborated with a countless number of talented NY musicians.
Kirk was recently featured & honored in NV Magazine's 2016 "Movers & Shakers" edition as a positive force to be reckoned with in the Tri-State.
This is Kirk's long awaited debut album which has been in the works for several years. Kirk wrote & produced all of the music, lyrics & played all of the horn lines for this project.
Saxy Smooth features a unique mixture of hot soulful saxy smooth jazz; infused with a unique blend of Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop & R&B.
