A Chicago, IL experimental jazz/rock ensemble project founded, led, and conducted by Crush Kill Destroy and Larval co-conspirator Toby Summerfield, Never Enough Hope first convened in 2005. The work recorded at the group's first performances was put to tape, and released as the self-titled debut output. The 20-piece group included a wide array of instruments, including vibraphones, saxophones, dual drummers, trumpets, guitar, bass, and violins. The work itself varied from style to style, but was definitely a nice fit into the experimental jazz and experimental rock tags. In 2008, thanks in part to the Contraphonic label, Never Enough Hope released the album The Gift Economy. ~ Chris True
