The group was formed in 1968 in London, from the very beginning played music in the style of Jimmy Hendrix. After signing a contract with Key Records, the group began recording their debut album, spending only a week on it. Out Of Darkness was the best-selling English evangelical rock album of 1971. The group gave concerts in the best clubs in London - “Flamingo” and “Marquee”, and also performed at the Reading, Phun City and Jesus Revolution festivals in Edinburgh, the latter was broadcast on the BBC. Christians have not played such music in England, so the Out Of Darkness concerts were, in a way, a cultural shock for believers. When the lead singer Tony Goodman left the band, there were changes in the line-up, and it seemed that with the new lead singer the band was ready to rush into battle, but because of the difficulties with signing a contract with a major label, the band broke up in 1974. Guitarist Ray Powell later left for Jamaica. Tim Anderson became a teacher, and Carl Grant and Bruce Duncan emigrated to Canada.
