Fred Perreard Trio - Romantic Sketches (2019)

The "Jazz Family" label presents the new album ROMANTIC SKETCHES was recorded at the meulon studio and mixed in New York by David Kowalski. ROMANTIC SKETCHES is the result of beautiful artistic encounters. Several guest musicians joined the trio, including Cuban saxophonist Irving Acao, American trumpet player Hermon Mehari, saxophonist Baptiste Herbin, cellist Marie Tournemouly, singer Camille Durand, and Balthazar Naturel on flute and song. The trio plays mainly Fred Perreard's original compositions. Each piece is intended to be an exploration of new harmonic and rhythmic territories, unexpected bridges are often created between groove and romanticism, carrying the listener in a world both dancing and dreamlike.
