The musicians of the Backyard Blues Connection met on the occasion of a jam session some time ago (New Year's Eve 1990) know and then decided spontaneously, as a band to move through the country. Since then the band has dedicated itself to the rock blues of the 60s and 70s - "British Style" - which they cultivate with fervor and conviction and also with the typical volume.

"Proud to play loud!" is not just the motto of her virtuoso front man and solo guitarist Werner Tank. His guitar playing characterizes the sound of the band and gives it a distinctive stamp. Style (co-dominant) but also affects the - more black - vocals of the keyboarder Meyer and his jazz influenced game on the Hammond B3. The whole thing is based on a stable and experienced rhythm group, formed by bassist Lorenz Marti and drummer Beat Binder. The two know subtly at any time to singers and soloists and form the constant basis for extensive improvisations. All in all: The Backyard Blues Connection forms - especially live - a technically and musically well-rehearsed, convincing team! This is also shown by the CD's Do not think too much and Do not let the drinking do the thinking, which have been developed over the years.
