Santi Careta Group - Santi Careta Group With Juliane Heinemann (2007)

Santi Careta a young jazz guitarist from Barcelona and cofounder of the electro-jazz band. As trio, presents his second disc as leader on Fresh Sound New Talent. As in his previous attempt, Obertura FSNT 257, hes accompanied by the same host of loyal workmates, featuring again the spontaneous and classically-trained voice of German singer Juliane Heinemann, saxophonist Miguel Fernández, bassist Marc Cuevas and Òscar Domènech on drums. While Careta has previously work in Free Jazz contexts as sideman, this time the way he choice is a peaceful setting that sometimes makes feel close to a lullaby. There are no weak tracks here, each song supports its own groove, and the interaction of all five players, shows the collaborative nature of this project.
