Fooling Around is the debut by Marie Mørck Quartet; a young, international quartet, featuring the original compositions and arrangements by leader/vocalist Marie Mørck.

Regardless of her young age, Mørck manages to display a highly mature and skilled musical expression - both as a vocalist, composer and improviser. Her peculiar mix of influences, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Esperanza Spalding and Björk, creates a unique and complex sound.

Her songwriting explores a vast spectrum of musical vibes that result is a highly catchy and daring variety of songs, ranging from the poetic, pensive Exclusively Yours to the energetic, fun-loving title song Fooling Around. Carrying the album through is the distinct presence and nerve, which is clearly heard in every note by each band member.
