He has composed original music for over sixty features and over thirty TV worldwide series. One of his most acclaimed works, the original score for the film The Secret in Their Eyes, Academy Award Winner for the best foreign film, also won several international awards. Federico, is three times winner of the International Film Music Critics awards, for the scores of Isabel and Carlos V. He’s got two Platinum Film Award nominations for the score in Neruda and Magallanes; and was distinguished as “Composer of the Year 2016” by the Spanish Music Critics Association and a recipient of other dozen international music awards.
Soundtracks of his authorship include Misconduct (star. A.Pacino, A.Hopkins), Kidnap (H. Berry), Black Butterfly (A.Banderas, J.Rhys Meyers) and The Hunter´s Prayer (S.Worthington), Everybody has a Plan (V.Mortensen), Capitan Koblic (R.Darin) among others.
One of his most recent works is the original music for the movie Loving Pablo (Star. J. Bardem, P.Cruz, P.Sarsgaard), directed by F. Leon de Aranoa.
As a concert artist Federico Jusid has toured around Europe, Asia, Africa, US and South America. Performing in the most prestigious hall such as the Carnegie Weil, St Petersburg Philharmonic Chamber Hall, Colon Theater, National Auditorium Spain, Israel Philharmonic House Hall and Eglise Saint-Séverin as a soloist, chamber performer or conducting.
He was pianist and composer in residence for the Sonor Ensemble.
His most remarkable composition is “Tango Rhapsody”, a theatrical-concertante piece for two pianos and symphony orchestra, that was commissioned by the Tiempo-Lechner duo and premiered at the Martha Argerich Swiss Music Festival. Nowadays, the piece it’s being performed worldwide.
The University of Alcalá de Henares commissioned the lyrical piece “Enigmas” to commemorate its 500 years anniversary, at the Centro de Difusión Musical and Reina Sofía Modern Art Museum, the piece “Extimité.
His chamber music repertoire also includes “Finding Sarasate”, commissioned by Elena Jauregui and the Navarra University for the anniversary of Pablo Sarasate, and “La Librería del Ingenioso Hidalgo”, written for the Sonor Ensemble.
Federico´s most celebrated work for television is the score for Isabel, My Queen, for which he has received the International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA), the Movie Music UK Award and the Reel Music Award. His last TV projects during 2017 were the scores for Morocco: Love in times of war and Cathedral of the sea.
