The Earth Disciples - Getaway Train (Reissue) (1970/2009)

The only album of instrumental soul-funk band from Chicago (Illinois). It is worth noting that the father of guitarist Jimmy Holloway was the legendary blues and jazz saxophonist James Wesley «Red» Holloway, known for his collaboration with such pillars of the genre like Dave Brubeck, John Mayall, B.B. King, Billie Holiday, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Aretha Franklin and many others. The group released the single in early 1970 with the hit «Getaway Train» and self-titled album with him. Unfortunately, the album is not widely used due to poor support of the label, and the band soon dissolved.
