In the 1970s, the supreme performance of the Chicago Symphony's "power" of the golden age and Giulini's "knowledge" were highly fruitful.
Reproduced with high-density and high-resolution SACD!

Giulini will be releasing a DG version with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, one of the most famous Mahler ninth sound sources in the 1970s, and a hybrid version as the world's first SACD. This performance, which can be called the opposite of theater-style performance, has gained overwhelming support since its release. Giulini worked on the song from an early age and continued to impress in various places until his later years. (In the late '60s, Julini was scheduled to perform this song on a BPO regular basis by Hidekazu Yoshida's `` conductor of the world' ' The Berlin audience is looking forward to the 9th performance since Barbirolli.) Giulini's Mahler performance, which was then the chief guest conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, is different from other conductors, and the performance of this board as if the flow of time has stopped is based on Julini's unique perspective. Despite this, many listeners have been impressed by the pure musical expression as if the emotions of human beings were taken into nature in a way that the flow of music was never obstructed. Also, although the Chicago Symphony Orchestra has recorded many other conductors and Mahler recordings, including Solti, Abad, Levine and Barenboim, no one has played the orchestra "like" like Giulini. Some parts never stand out too much, and the feeling of weight and condensed feeling as if driving a traditional premium car with a large displacement with a margin is a feature of this board only. With this SACD, the potential including Giulini's intentions and mobility of orchestra can be heard more remarkably. You can also feel the difference in the recording location from the "unfinished" of the simultaneous recording by the lingering sound and the spread. By seeing details that you couldn't hear before, you'll be able to enjoy this masterpiece more than ever before. In the production of this series, we used sound sources digitized with higher quality than the original analog master tape in our home country, and our dedicated engineers in our country took a long time in mastering work for this series in a detailed process. Was. The important thing about the release is that the reprinting process itself, including the digitization and mastering steps, has evolved over the last few years. Equipment related to digital technology is constantly improving, and it has become possible to produce higher quality and more delicate sound sources. Now you can enjoy the original analog master with higher sound quality. In this SACD project, it became possible to release with a wonderful sound. In the SACD layer, you can enjoy high-definition master sounds. The CD layer has also been digitized and mastered to the latest level, which is different from the sound quality of the conventional version.

Thanks again for these Tower special editions. My favorite Giulini Mahler 9th is still the early '70s Philadelphia Orchestra radio broadcast, but this is still a fine performance.
