Christoph Lehmann - Die Scherer-Orgel in St. Stephan Tangermünde (2010)

Christoph Lehmann (born 1953), after graduating as an engineer from the Technical University of Dresden he studied church music at what is today the University for Church Music in Dresden (organ with Cathedral Organist Hansjürgen Scholze).
From 1985 to 1992 he worked as a church musician in Freital (Saxony). He has been church musician in Tangermünde and organist of the Scherer organ in St Stephan’s since 1992.
As well as being heavily involved with historic organs and historic playing styles (courses with Ton Koop- man, Ludger Lohmann, Harald Vogel and others), he is Organ Adviser for the church province of Saxony and supervised the restoration of the Scherer organ in Tangermünde and the Scholtze organs in Schönhausen and Lenzen, amongst others.
In addition to his activities as a church musician, he is very active as a recitalist at home and abroad, in particular on historic organs, and has made radio, TV and CD recordings.
