The Domino Kings began in 1993 in Springfield, Missouri. Fronted by Hermitage, MO native Stevie Newman (guitarist-singer-songwriter) they are purveyors of a unique combination of contemporary alt-country and retro honky-tonk that gives a strong nod to Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and fellow Missouri native Wynn Stewart. The current line-up features a searing twin Telecaster attack from Newman and Richie Rebuth, drummer-vocalist Les Gallier and newest member David Sowers on standup bass. Newman already had a 'bad boy' reputation with his Telecaster, the addition of Rebuths Tele only solidifies their sound. The Domino Kings have earned their Americana royalty status in the Midwest with years of continuous touring, pleasing crowds with their originals spun from diverse influences. This album was produced by Lou Whitney at The Studio in Springfield, Missouri, and features all new original songs.
