This collection highlights red-hot soul singer Johnnie Taylor, who began his career singing for a variety of gospel and doo-wop groups, before going solo, and signing to Stax in 1966. Over the next 9 years, Taylor would score a dozen Top Ten R&B hits, including 1968's 'Who's Making Love', which went to Number One on the R&B charts, and Number Five on the Billboard Hot 100, and is included in this collection, in addition to such favorites as 'I Believe In You (You Believe In Me)' and 'Judy's Got Your Girl And Gone.'
