Inspired by a multi-week stay in Iceland in summer 2018, each of the pieces has a direct, thematic reference to the island and the travel experiences made there. The fascinating result is highly intense compositions that oscillate between dreamy melancholy and eruptive force at the cinematic-looking interface between jazz, indie, avant-garde and electronic music. Her music is characterized by a special emotional depth, which not least reflects the close, friendly bond of the band members.
Valentin Mühlberger, Wurlitzer, Moog, vocals
Jonas Petry, drums, spacedrum, tonbak, daf, water bowl, objects
Lukas Backs, alto flute, flute, percussion, bass clarinet
Laurenz Welten, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet
