A Dutch Afro-beat band who have attracted the high praise of former Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen amongst others, Jungle By Night's second album sees the band continue to explore deep textures and fascinating poly-rhythms on songs like "Togetherness", "Night Fight" and "The Past Is History". Adding thumb piano and gamelan to their palette of sounds sits nicely with their base of brass, organs and desert-blues guitars - all coming together spectacularly on the rasping "Cyclin".
