Wolf Maahn - Break out of Babylon (2020)

Always something new from Wolf Maahn. Because even almost 40 years after his debut, the German singer and songwriter knows how to surprise his listeners.

2020 will see the release of "Break Out Of Babylon", his 14th studio album, the successor of "Sensible Daten" from 2015, which is also Maahn's first concept album.

Our world is at the centre of the contemplation. It tells the story of a billionaire who becomes a benefactor - combined with the appeal that the time has come for the super-rich to make their contribution - or so it says on Maahn's website.

Musically, "Break Out Of Babylon" mainly goes in the direction of Reggae, as the album title already suggests. Nevertheless the record shows some more influences.

With the singles "Slow-Mo In New York" and "Tanzen gegen den Wahnsinn" there were already some first listening impressions.

A total of 13 titles are waiting on the album. Besides almost exclusively German songs there are also two English songs with "Where The Homeless Go" and "Williams' Daughter".
