This memorable recital testified once more the sublime interpretative grandness of this remarkable pianist. Gifted with an impressive musical versatility, Richter played without any sort of difficulty a repertoire so kaleidoscopic like this one.
I just heard about this extraordinary recital thanks to a pleasant musical meeting in the early seventies, being a teenager. But the febrile enthusiasm which our exception whiteness talked about that special recital was so ardent that aroused a natural curiosity.
Thanks to the digital technology, we have been able to enjoy those magic moments that cautiously was depicted by our unforgettable dilettante partner who, painfully left us ten years ago.
If he was with us he certainly would have evocated many others memories.
