US band ZERFAS started out in 1969, at that time calling themselves Jubal. By 1973 brothers Dave and Brian Zerfas was the only remaining permanent members, and when they were given the opportunity to record material at that point they opted to call themselves Zerfas. They released their sole album later the same year, and assembled a band in the process. By 1975 the chose to continue on as Jubal again, at times also calling themselves The Jubal Band, until they called it a day in 1983.
