André Fernandes - Centauri - Dianho (2020)

Dianho is the latest album released by infamous jazz guitarist André Fernandes’ project Centauri. Besides Fernandes, the line-up includes some of the most interesting Portuguese jazz musicians, like João Mortágua and José Pedro Coelho on the saxophones.

Fernandes holds a fascination for mystery since his early childhood and cites literature by Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King or Clive Parker as some of the favourite things he used to devour. For this album he took inspiration from ancient Portuguese traditions and named all songs after mystery folk creatures. Dianho, which the album is named after, is one of the names by which the Devil (Diabo) is known.
