Hailing from Perth, Australia, Corniglia are Chloe and Matt, creating an ethereal blend of shoegaze-y psychedelic rock, inspired by the likes of Beach House and Cocteau Twins. Their new track ‘But It Wasn’t That Long Ago’ exudes a sorrowful nostalgia, with ambient synth and floating, beautiful vocals over staccato drums. The lush texturing of the guitar layers adds further to the sombre beauty of the track, which is a thematic ambience that perhaps comes from the personal experiences of the duo.
