This session was recorded at Greenstreet studios in Soho (NYC), in the early 90's, one of Bourelly's favorite places to record. The whole recording took just two days.
Many of the song are from the Band of Gypsys record but with a twist or should I say twists. On Machine gun for example Bourelly updates this and goes into free style signifying on the theme of poverty coupled with gang violence.

Straight Ahead is funkier than the original with some real rare groove moments courtesy of Aflredo Alias's boom bouncing drumming and slick counterpoint between Bourelly and bassist TM Stevens.

An original Bombs and Rainbows works through dreamy psycadelica yet tops it off with jazzy sophistication.

All in all this is an important recording for anyone interested in the question of where Hendrix's music could have or should have gone or could go. There are more than enough transformational moments on this record while growing out from the roots of the originals Jimi laid down.
