Manika Kaur - Journey (The Ambient Remixes) (2020) [Hi-Res]

It’s hard to believe Manika Kaur’s music career began just four years ago. Manika released her first album Bandhanaa in 2013 and since has become the fastest-­‐selling contemporary Sikh solo artist in the world. She won the 2016 Sikh Award for Sikhs in Entertainment, placed sacred Sikh vocal music or kirtan in the World Music Charts Europe for the first time and has amassed over 10,000,000 views on YouTube.

Alongside her musical achievements, Manika Kaur is a devoted philanthropist raising awareness and funds for education projects in rural Punjab, India via her organisation Kirtan for Causes.

Manika recorded her first album with Sukhbir Singh in 2010. The majority of the album was recorded at home in her prayer room. It was her way of raising funds to contribute to the construction of the first Gurdwara in Dubai. The album garnered an amazing reception and within a year amassed over 1,000,000 dirhams for the cause. Bandhanaa was released on CD in 2013.
