Hot Club du Nax - Love Is Where You Hang Your Hat (2020)

The Innsbruck Gypsy Jazz collective Hot Club du Nax was created during nighttime jam sessions in October of the sixth year of the second decade of the third millennium AD, in the eponymous Innsbruck bar, the NAX, where else? Characteristic of the band are the enchanting voice of the London singer Isobel Cope and the adorable Sizzle by the Prague violinist Tomas Novak. Then the beguiling song of the Django swing according to old school; the two Innsbruck guitarists Arian Kindl and Lukas Bamesreiter. And last but not least, the irresistible double bass escote, Dario Michele Gurrado from Bologna.

In 2019 the Hot Club du Nax will present its debut album “Love is where you hang your hat” in Austria, Germany, Italy and France. In addition to a few original adaptations of selected genre standards, it primarily includes the band's own compositions, which confidently transfer the deeply romantic, dreamy and impulsive timbre of Gypsy Jazz into the present time. Psychedelic love poems, with a glowingly cold look, surround twilight fantasies of power and wonderful sadness dances through the night with infinite joy.
