Barba Negri Ziliani - Too Many Keys (2020)

Too many keys of the trio Barba, Negri and Ziliani comes out on Friday. The disc consists of nine tracks, eight originals to which is added the arrangement of a song by the English rock band The Smiths. «It is a work born as a study on the languages that have accompanied our performances in these years with a perspective aimed at some elements of minimalist music» explains Riccardo Barba.

The trio, in fact, was born from the meeting of three musicians with different paths but with a unique vision of the musical message. The classical formation of the jazz trio piano opens up to a sound and overall research that pushes the three musicians to explore the possibilities of the rhythm and is inspired by classical music, jazz and popular music to build a sound system that is the result of a homogeneous and common discourse to the three instruments.
