Ron Carter - Anything Goes (1975/2017) [Hi-Res]

A unique work that draws out a funky side of a master who continues to reign at the top of the jazz base scene. Here, he plays mainly electric bass, and plays pop and danceable sounds, arranged by David Matthews, with staff members, Michael Brecker (ts) and David Sanborn (as). In fact, it is a powerful performance that proves that even an electric bass player can play a very funky groove. The cover of Stylistics' "Can't Give You Anything" is also excellent.
