3rd Force is a hybrid Smooth Jazz/New Age band, which plays a smooth jazz style of music with a New Age atmosphere. The results of this trio's music couldn't be more fresh and unique, and certainly stands out in the crowded smooth jazz arena.Consisting of three members,William Aura,Craig Dobbins, and Alain Eskinasi, their music ranges from upbeat to relaxed to somewhere in the middle, and always has some kind of rhythm or percussion on each of their compositions.Their already great sounds are joined by various guest musicians on saxophone and on acoustic guitar, courtesy of the one and only Craig Chaquico.Sometimes melodic and uplifting, and at other times more jazzy or relaxed, but always enjoyable to listen to.This is one of those few bands that is able to create an album where each track is good on every single album they release. An impressive accomplishment.Highlights on this album are "You Know My Heart","We Should Be Together","Ready For Love",and"The Gift".However, don't get me wrong. The whole album is a pleasure to listen to,from beginning to end.Bottomline,if you are looking for something fresh in the Smooth Jazz field, then you should definitely try this album. You won't be disappointed. If you find that you do like this album, then try 3rd Force's other albums. All of them are great in their own way. So,what are you waiting for?Try this album and discover a whole new side of Smooth Jazz. -- Edgardo Beckham ~
