Nicole - Forever and a Day (2020)

Twenty-something years ago, Nicole was strutting catwalks in Australia and overseas but every spare moment she’d be working on her true love, singing. She sang back-up in husband Dave Warner’s from the Suburbs and would do the female vocals on any demos Dave wrote with friends like Greg Macainsh (Skyhooks) and Martin Cilia (Atlantics, Mental as Anything).

Nicole was preparing to record her own album when she became a mum. Career aspirations were put on hold, microphones swapped for lunch-boxes and class-parent duties, as she devoted all her energies to her three children. She ran a school carnival that was so successful she was recognised as parent of the year for NSW Primary Schools.

Now she releases her single JUNKIES, DRUNKS AND ROBBERS, a narrative country song written by Dave and Martin about a Girl-Done-Wrong who won’t take it lying down

Despite the long wait Nicole is happy. “For a mum, there is nothing more important than doing your best for your kids.I wanted to give my kids all the time I could. Now I can finally record an album of songs I love”.
