This group features some top Brazilian bluesmen and American drummer Merle Perkins. The Brazilians include Giba Guitar Byblos (guitar and vocals), Ivan Marcio (harmonica and vocals), Mauricio Sahady (guitar and vocals) and Fabio Basili (bass). They start off with a cookin' little original by Byblos, then settle into a well-chosen set of covers (each with it's own stamp). A rough translation of the band name is "Party Blues Brasileiro". That's what they intend with this work, taking the blues as entertainment wherever the band goes. Ivan Marcio does more than his part to keep this party rollin' too. He's one of the best - anywhere. If you like a good party atmosphere, get this CD.
