Jim Gilstrap was a vocalist in the late 60s group The Doodletown Pipers and, in the early 70s, a background singer on Stevie Wonder's "Too High" and Boz Scagg's "Lowdown." Gilstrap released only two LPs. The title track from this LP charted at #55 on the April 26, 1975, Billboard Hot 100. The #1 single that week was B.J. Thomas' "(Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Something Wrong Song" and #2 was Elton John's "Philadelphia Freedom." As of this post a used 2-for-1 reissue of Gilstrap's two LPs is $85 on Amazon.
