Two prizewinners of the German Music Competition, violinist Byol Kang and pianist Boris Kusnezow, following their successful debut on the Primavera Edition, present their second GENUIN CD, a release featuring works by Brahms, Clara Schumann and Grieg in the form of sonatas, romances and song without word transcriptions. Ms. Kang and Mr. Kusnezow formed their duo in 2009. Of their 2011 NYC recital debut, the New York Times cited Ms. Kang for her “lovely, penetrating tone, Mr. Kusnezow for his “sensitive, finely hued approach” and the duo for their “intense musicality”.
