Lorne Balfe & Hans Zimmer - Genius (National Geographic Original Series Soundtrack) (2017)

Genius is the new National Geographic series from executive producers Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) and Brian Grazer (8 Mile, Frost/Nixon). An anthology series, each season focuses on a different genius from history. The first focuses on theoretical physicist Albert Einstein during key periods of his life: as a patent clerk struggling to gain a teaching job and doctorate in his early life, and as an older respected mind for his development in the theory of relativity. The final episode of the first season airs on National Geographic on June 27th, 2017. The score to Genius was composed by Lorne Balfe (The Lego Batman Movie). Lorne’s score skillfully employs a sweeping suite of prominent strings, famously beloved by Einstein, in his most ambitious work to date. The main series theme composed by the legendary composer Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Lion King) is also included in the soundtrack.
