Fraktal is a septet founded and led by swiss jazz guitarist Jan Herzog. His music, brought to life by each member‘s strong and individual sound, takes place in between classifications and is looking for the connective elements through the use of a modern jazz language.

From dense nettings to intimate solos and duos, seemingly simple harmonical and rhythmical structures to complex grooves and musical landscapes, FRAKTAL‘s first album “Polarisation Of Light“ explores the area of conflict between light and darkness.

I very much enjoyed listening to this. Herzog’s playing is intelligent and full of interesting textures; developing a bright and colorful sound. (Hans Feigenwinter, swiss Jazz professor and legendary pianist)

I find Jan's music very well crafted, lots of care into it. It is adventurous, powerful and challenging to perform, results can be astonishing like in „Mitosis“. Andrea's voice brings so much character and vitality, the creativity and playing of the band is very engaging and refreshing. I am very glad the players are committing to developing this unique project. I am sure any support they get will be very beneficial to their music and will also help to share it with the audience. (Guillermo Klein, composer)
